MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (AP) - Officials in South Carolina fear weather conditions may send the flames from a wildfire even closer to neighborhoods, golf courses and businesses. Low humidity and high winds are expected Thursday. Officials have not determined a cause for the fire, which began about noon Wednesday in Conway in Horry County. High winds fanned the flames, causing the fire to jump over the six-lane Carolina Bays Parkway, across the Intercoastal Officials with North Myrtle Beach and Horry County Fire Rescue, as well as the South Carolina Forestry Commission, told WMBF News between 30 and 50 homes have been burned in the fires across the county.
