The last major incident involving an Air France plane was in July 2000 when one of its Concorde supersonic airliners crashes just after taking off from Charles de Gaulle Airport, Paris, bound for New York. </p><p>Barrand said the airline installed an information center at Paris' Charles de Gaulle airport for the families of those aboard.</p><p>"Air France regrets to announce that it is without news from Air France flight 447 flying from French President Nicolas Sarkozy expressed his "extreme worry" and sent the junior minister for transport, Dominique Bussereau, and Environment Minister Jean-Louis Borloo to Charles de Gaulle airport to monitor the situation.
