invalid update control ctf file

When you are trying to update AVG antivirus version 8.0.x you might see similar to the following error Invalid Update Control CTF File *Solution 1* I. This morning I was getting an error message:- "Invalid update control CTF file". A quick Google came up with all the usual crap about editing the registry etc. I thought, there has to be an easier way! I have found the solution from AVG forums. You need to rename/remove the CTF temp files
