He was taken into custody immediately after the shooting. The motive for the shooting is unknown at this time. Police said he fired several shots from a handgun on the steps of HOUSTON – Travis County officials say the shooting suspect is Fausto Cardenas. He is in the Travis County Jail facing charges of deadly conduct discharge a firearm at individuals. A motive for the shooting was not immediately known.
