Murtha showed the real kind admitting his mistake in voting for the Iraq bloody debacle, and calling for it to end. He liked him some pork, but was not along for this on both sides of the isle. RIP John Murtha. John Murtha wasn't perfect, and some of the charges that he strongarmed pork projects for his district were difficult to see any other way. Still, I'll never forget his irascible bitch-slapping of Dick Cheney following another of I was saddened to hear of John Murtha's passing, and my thoughts and prayers are with his friends and loved ones. I also want to express my condolences to Speaker Nancy Pelosi, who valued Congressman Murtha's advice and friendship.
