Paczki Calories : Some of you around the country might think of today as Fat Tuesday, but in my neck of the woods, the Tuesday before Ash Wednesday is Pacz Here's a detailed description of paczki. Basically paczki are Polish pastries. Each one weighs about 17 pounds, 400 to 600 calories, and is traditionally filled with prunes but nowadays can be filled with anything. Now I don't believe that Christians are required to give anything up for Lent, but I am all for eating a ridiculous amount of calories the day before Lent anyway (or any day for that matter). What's in a paczki?
